LeCol Hors Categorie Bib Shorts: A Review

Published on 24 January 2025 at 12:22

I've been cycling for many years now, and I've had the chance to try out a lot of different cycling gear. Today, I'm going to be reviewing the LeCol Hors Categorie Bib Shorts. I've been using these shorts for a couple of years now, and I've found them to be very comfortable and supportive on both short and long rides.

Product Information

Review Details

Fit

  • True to size? Fits true to size.
  • Comfort during short/long rides? Comfortable on both short and long rides, indoors and outdoors.

Quality

  • Material quality: The shorts are made from a luxurious, high-performance fabric that is both soft and breathable.
  • Construction quality: The stitching is high-quality, but I did have an issue with one seam unraveling on my last pair.
  • Notable features: The shorts have a comfortable chamois pad and reflective elements for low-light visibility.

Price

  • Value for money? The shorts are on the expensive side, but they are well-made and comfortable. However, the quality issue I experienced makes me question the value proposition a bit.
  • Compared to similar products: There are a number of other high-quality bib shorts on the market at a similar price point.

Overall Impression

I've been mostly happy with the LeCol Hors Categorie Bib Shorts. They are comfortable and supportive, and they fit well. However, the quality issue I experienced with my last pair is a concern. Overall, I would give these shorts a 4 out of 5 star rating.
